HONORABLE MEDAL FOR CROWN PRINCE
FROM RED STAR TABLE TENNIS CLUB
Belgrade, 13 April 2006 – His
Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II welcomed today
delegation of the Red Star
Table-tennis club led by Director of
the club Mr Slobodan Tankosic.
On this occasion, delegation of
the club gave honourable medal and
final report from traditional
international table-tennis junior
tournament „Fourth King Peter II
Karadjordjevics’ Cup“, held in
January in Belgrade, under patronage
of HRH Crown Prince Alexander II.
“Sport is extremely important for
the development of Serbian youth.
Working habits and psycho-physical
improvements are visible when
someone is in sports. Therefore, it
is of the most importance that you,
members of Red Star table-tennis
club have to be as active as
possible working with our youth. One
of the ways to do so is to organize
tournaments like the one in January,
named after my late father, His
Majesty King Peter II”, emphasised
Crown Prince Alexander II:
“Table-tennis gave us many medals
already, and will bring more. The
most important medal you can win is
the trust of young people and their
wish to play table-tennis instead of
going out, to the street. Thank you
for your continuous efforts that you
are making in order to win such
medal”, stated Crown Prince
addressing to the delegation of Red
Star table-tennis club.
