CROWN PRINCE AT THE OPENING CEREMONY
OF THE INTERNATIONAL FAIR OF TOURISM
Belgrade, 19th April 2006 – His
Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II attended the opening
ceremony of
28th International Fair of Tourism
at the Belgrade Fair.
His Royal Highness was welcomed
by the General Manager of the Fair
Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic. In informal
chat before the opening ceremony,
the Crown Prince met a number of
Serbian and foreign officials. Crown
Prince discussed possibilities of
tourism development with H. E.
Tianni Hadad Tunisian Minister of
Tourism, H. E. Lavania Prasad
Ambassador of India in Serbia and
Montenegro, H. E. Adel A. M. Naguib
Ambassador of Egypt and other guests
of the Fair.
H. E. Bojan Dimitrijevic Minister
of Trade, Tourism and Services in
Government of Serbia addressed the
guests and told them about
activities that have been taken
place in order to develop tourism
properly. “Last year was significant
for us: we set up a new record in
the number of guests, and 2006 will
be dedicated to the investment of
projects, in order to develop 20
most interesting attractions in our
country”.
After the opening ceremony, HRH
Crown Prince Alexander made a tour
of Fair and in direct conversation
found out more about Serbian tourist
situation.
More than 700 participants from
50 countries gathered at the
Belgrade Fair in the space of 15.000
square meters. The fair will be
there19- 22 April. More than one
hundred Serbian tour-operators will
present their tourist offer.
The Royal Compound is represented
at the Belgrade Fair as one of the
tourist attractions of Belgrade. The
Official presentation of The Royal
Compound is located in the central
area of Hall 3.
Tonight, at The Royal Palace,
Their Royal Highnesses organized a
reception in honour of the Ministry
for Diaspora representatives,
Organisers of Diaspora Tourist
voyages and in honour of the
representatives of Tourist
Organization of Serbia.
