HIS MAJESTY KING CARL XVI GUSTAF OF SWEDEN 60th BIRTHDAY Belgrade 29 April 2006. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander flew this morning to Stockholm to attend the sixtieth birthday celebrations of HM King Carl XVI Gustaf’s. HRH Crown Princess Katherine was unable to go to His Majesty’s birthday due to the sudden illness of her mother in Athens. His Royal Highnesses is delighted to attend the following events: a private dinner this evening at Drottingholm Palace; Sunday is the King's birthday; celebrations will be at the Royal Chapel, the Outer Courtyard, Lejonbacken, the City Hall and a Gala Diner in the Royal Palace. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Prince Katherine will be giving His Majesty a personal present. They will also present His Majesty with some CD’s especially given by Balkanika, a very exceptional group consisting of young and talented musicians oriented towards ethno music. His Majesty enjoyed Balkanika very much when Their Majesties came to Belgrade last July for Crown Prince Alexander’s 60th birthday. His Majesty will also receive a special present: Serbian national hand made bag with canteen and hand made national gobelin, created by Mr. Dragan Ilic.
