IMPORTANT WORKSHOP FOR SECONDARY
SCHOOL TEACHERS IN THESSALONIKI
Belgrade, 19 May 2006 – Under the
patronage of HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II, a three-day workshop
on College Counselling for Secondary
School teachers took place 17 - 19
May 2006 at the American College of
Thessaloniki (ACT).
The
American College of Thessaloniki
is a University division of
Anatolia, accredited in the USA by
the New England Association of
Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and is
well known in Greece as one of the
best non-profit educational
institutions.
ACT offers a unique programme to
Serbian teachers, aiming to give
them expertise and specific skills
on College Counselling.
Crown Prince Alexander II
initiated this pilot programme to
enable teachers from the major high
schools in Serbia to acquire
knowledge and expertise in college
counselling, in order to help pupils
with their professional orientation
and future life.
This programme has all the
potential to become successful and
to be offered to a larger number of
qualified secondary school teachers
in the future.
