MOBA 2006 RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL PALACE
Belgrade 18 August 2006 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II
held a reception today in The Royal Palace at Dedinje for the organizers and
participants of this year’s “Moba 2006”. The reception was also in the
presence of His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Šabac and Valjevo, Mr. Kosta
Pavlović the representative of “Moba” and a member of the organizing
committee.
“Moba” is organized and under the patronage of the
Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Government, and its goal is to
gather the youth (high school and university students), both from the
Diaspora and from our country.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II expressed
his pleasure that this event has become a tradition and is welcomed not only
in our country but in the Diaspora as well. In his address to the
participants, the Crown Prince emphasized the importance of the connection
between the motherland and Diaspora and he added:
“Although you are living all around the world, you should
not forget Serbia. This is the where your roots are, and that is important.
Please give the world what is best from the homeland, and bring to Serbia
what is best in the world. Everybody is looking at you as our
representatives. That is a great responsibility. Make your motherland proud
of you”, said the Crown Prince to the participants of “Moba”.
The president of the organization committee of “Moba” His
Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Šabac and Valjevo greeted the visitors and
thanked His Royal Highness for the traditional hospitality and for hosting
this year’s participants of “Moba”.

Royal Compound after the reception.
