CROWN PRINCE OPENED EXHIBITION “INSIGNIA OF KARADJORDJEVIC DYNASTY”
Belgrade 5 September 2006 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine attended the opening ceremony of the
exhibition “Insignia of Karadjordjevic Dynasty”, that will be opened to the
public until 5 October 2006 in the Novi Sad City Museum.
While addressing the visitors of the exhibition, HRH
Crown Prince Alexander expressed his satisfaction with the realisation of
this exhibition organized in cooperation between Novi Sad City Museum and
the Foundation of HM King Peter I at Oplenac:
“In the following 30 days Novi Sad and this Museum will
proudly present to the visitors an important part of the Serbian history. At
the same time, you will be able to see an important part of the
Karadjordjevic Family history.
I am proud to be a descendant of great Karadjordje and
that you will have a chance to see the Royal Insignia of my great
grandfather King Peter I. You will also see the Royal Insignia of my
grandfather King Alexander I and my father King Peter II as well. This
Museum will host other art items from the Royal Palace.
Serbia should be proud with the preserved Royal Insignia,
and please enjoy seeing them”, said HRH Crown Prince Alexander II opening
the exhibition in the Novi Sad City Museum.
