WHITE PALACE RECEPTION FOR EUROPEAN WATERPOLO
CHAMPIONSHIP
Belgrade, 9 September 2006 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine organized a reception at
the White Palace this evening, in honour of the European Waterpolo
Championship, that took place in Belgrade.
Due to a previously arranged obligation Their Royal
Highnesses were not able to be present at The White Palace this evening, and
on their behalf the guests were received by Mr. Dragomir Acovic and Mr.
Dusan Babac, members of the Privy Council.
Mr. Acovic read the welcome address from His Royal
Highness Crown Prince Alexander who extended his warm welcome to the
national teams from 12 participating countries. “Welcome to The White
Palace. I am sorry that I am not able to be with you tonight at this
reception in honour of this remarkable sport. I am very proud that Belgrade
is the host of the European Championship and I hope that you find Belgrade a
pleasant place to visit. I would like to add that all of you have shown
brilliant sportsmanship and outstanding talent in this sport. I wish you all
success in the future”.
The White Palace was the venue to welcome the
participants of the Championship, members of the (LEN)
European Swimming Federation, members of
the Waterpolo Federation and
representatives of the Diplomatic Corps.
