CROWN PRINCE ATTENDS PASSING OUT PARADE FOR NEW
OFFICERS
Belgrade 16 September 2006 - His Royal Highness Crown
Prince Alexander II attended today ceremonial promotion of the
Serbian Army cadets to the rank of second
lieutenant’s at the National Assembly Plato.
“I would like to use this opportunity and congratulate
the promotion of all young officers who appeared this evening on the Parade.
It is a great honor to be the officer of our country, and
our new lieutenants have every reason to be proud. The great history of the
Serbian Army was proven during the Balkan Wars in the early 20th century as
well as in World War One.
I hope that you will continue this great tradition and
that you will be an example how to Serbia. Our people are very proud of
you”, stated HRH Crown Prince Alexander in his letter of congratulations to
all the promoted officers.
The ceremonial promotion was also attended by HE Boris
Tadic President of Serbia, HE Vojislav Kostunica Prime Minister of Serbia,
HE Zoran Stankovic Minister of Defense, Mr. Predrag Markovic Chairman of the
National Assembly of Republic of Serbia, representatives of Diplomatic Corps
and other distinguished guests.
