CROWN PRINCE VISITS PRIME MINISTER MILORAD DODIK IN
Banja Luka, Belgrade 19 September 2006 - Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited
Banja Luka today where they were welcomed by HE Milorad Dodik Prime Minister
of Republic of Srpska.
Their Royal Highnesses donated medical apparatus to the
Clinical Centre and humanitarian help to the orphanage in Banja Luka, and
met with religious leaders of Roman Catholic Church General Vicar Anto
Orlovac, Islamic Religious Community Mufti of Banja Luka Edhem Camdzic and
Jewish Municipality leader Jakov Danon.
During their conversation in Government of Srpska, HRH
Crown Prince Alexander II and HE Milorad Dodik tackled the current political
issues and stability in the region. During the talks, His Royal Highness
stressed the importance of peaceful solutions, compromises and negotiating
skills that we all have to improve.
Their Royal Highnesses also met with the representatives
of the religious communities in Banja Luka. During these talks, Crown Prince
emphasised the importance of good relations and understanding between
religious communities in multiethnic societies in our region:
“We have to all work together, for our mutual benefit. We
all must respect each other. This region has had enough bloodshed, pain and
suffering. We must turn a new page of our common history: a page of
understanding, joint efforts and prosperity. We have to all work as a team
in this region that desperately needs to join the European Union”, said HRH
Crown Prince Alexander in his meetings with the religious leaders.

visited the Clinical Centre in Banja Luka afterwards and donated new
valuable medical equipment to this institution: one ECG apparatus and one

At the end of Their Royal Highnesses visit to Banja Luka,
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited Orphanage
“Rada Vranjesevic” and donated valuable humanitarian aid, beds and shelves
needed for the children protected by that institution, provided by Lifeline
New York and Arezina family as well as toys, shoes, school supplies and

Laktasi, where they have visited kindergarten “HRH Crown Princess Katherine”
and donated them with shoes, school supplies, sweets and toys.
From Municipality of Laktasi, Their Royal Highnesses
travelled to Bijeljina, where they have met with His Grace Bishop of Zvornik
and Tuzla Vasilije, and discussed with him need for peace and understanding
between nations in our region.
