CONGRATULATIONS FOR UNITED NATIONS DAY

Belgrade, 23 October 2006 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II sent his congratulations for United Nations Day to His Excellency Mr. Kofi Annan Secretary General of United Nations, Mr. David Lance Clark United Nations Resident Coordinator in Serbia and Mr. Julian Harston Director of United Nations Office in Belgrade.

“I would like extend my congratulations to you and members of all United Nations Agencies in Serbia for the 61st anniversary of the United Nations. This day is traditionally celebrated worldwide on October 24. I am certain that the continuous efforts the United Nations in our country will contribute to reduce suffering of many of those who need help and support.

I am convinced that United Nations in Serbia and its devoted staff will continue to work for the benefit of the people of Serbia in the future” – said HRH Crown Prince Alexander in his letter of congratulations.
