THE CHANCELLERY OF PARTICIPANTS
OF THE FIFTH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF ORTHODOX THEOLOGICAL SCHOOLS AT THE
ROYAL PALACE Their
Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar
and Crown Princess Katarina hosted a reception last night
at the Royal Palace for the official participants of the “Fifth
International Congress of Orthodox Theological schools” held from
September 26 to October 1 in Belgrade. The highest representatives of Orthodox churches from our country and abroad, representatives of the biggest traditional churches and religious communities, high officials of the state government, as well as other numerous participants of the Congress with Archpriest Prof. Dr. Radovan Bigović, Dean of Theological Faculty at the head, attended the reception. Among the
invited guests were: His Beatitude Archbishop of Tirana and All of Albania
Anastasios, Their Eminences Metropolitan of Kenya and Irinoupolis Makarios
and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amphilochius, Their Graces
Bishop of the East-American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church Mitrophan,
Bishop of Branichevo Ignatius and His Grace the retired Bishop of Zahumlye
and Herzegovina Athanasius, Mufti of Belgrade
Dr. Hadži-Hamdija Jusufpsahić, the assistant of Roman catholic
Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade Dr. Franc Hočevar, Father
Leopold Marko Rochmes, Rabin Isaac Asiel and Mrs. Asiel and the Republic
minister of religion Dr. Vojislav Milovanović. The member of the Crown
Coucil, Mr. Dramir Acović
also attended the reception. H.R.H. Crown Prince Aleksandar and His Eminence Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amphilochius addressed the invited guests. Crown Prince Aleksandar said he was pleased to hear that the expansion of knowledge today is emerging as an important issue among Congress participants and emphasized his support to religious freedoms and general democratization. In the name of all invited guests, His Eminence Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral Amphilochius expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to be the guest at the Royal Palace in Belgrade as a part of this important event for the Orthodox church.
