OF YUGOSLAVIA

RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF THE ROYAL TENNIS CLUB

Belgrade 29 November 2006 - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II organized today a reception in honour of members and friends of The Royal Tennis Club at The White Palace.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II Royal Tennis Club was presented by Mrs. Jelena Gencic, President of the Club, and Mr. Goran Djokovic, General Secretary of the Club.

Due to obligations abroad, HRH Crown Prince Alexander II could not attend the reception, and Prof. Dragoljub Kavran, member of the Crown Council, read HRH letter to the guests.

“My wife Princess Katherine and I have always supported the talented young people in Serbia. For far too long our talents had to leave the country in order to be recognised. I’m not saying that this club will be able to replace best tennis camps of the World, but I hope that it would be a good preparation for them. After all the idea behind this club is for these young people to think of this Club as their home and to return to it whenever they can to pass the experience to new talents” – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II said in his letter.

Members of the diplomatic corps, famous Serbian athletes, tennis champions of Serbia under 16, and members of the Advisory Bodies to The Crown also attended the reception.
