HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II STATEMENT
ON THE OCCASION OF THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HUMAN RIGHTS
Belgrade, 9 December 2006 – HRH Crown
Prince Alexander II issued the statement on the occasion of
the International Day of Human Rights.
“Poverty is one of the major challenges
that our society faces at this moment, and very often we
fail to see that poverty is not a cause, but merely a result
of problems within the society, among which human rights
violations are most prominent. Providing equal human rights
to all members of the society is not something we do as a
charity, but on the contrary, it is our obligation to make
our society richer and better place for all”, stated the HRH
Crown Prince Alexander on the occasion of December 10, the
International Day of Human rights.
On this occasion, Their Royal Highnesses
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine have
sent letters to Mr. Lance Clark, UNDP Resident
Representative in Belgrade and Mr. Slobodan Lalović, Serbian
Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy,
respectively. |
