HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II STATEMENT REGARDING REHABILITATION OF DR. RADENKO STANKOVIĆ, REGENT OF THE KINGDOM OF YUGOSLAVIA

Belgrade, 20 December 2006 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II issued a statement regarding the rehabilitation of civil rights to Dr. Radenko Stanković, one of three regents of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and personal doctor of HM King Alexander Karadjordjević.

“I want to express great satisfaction regarding the court decision that posthumously rehabilitates civil rights of late Dr. Radenko Stanković, one of the regents of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Although with great tardiness, justice has proven that it slow but sure, and I hope that the great injustice done to the honour and reputation of Dr. Stanković and his family will be remunerated at least a little”, Crown Prince Alexander stated.

His Royal Highness also sent a letter to the daughter-in-law of Dr. Stanković, Mrs. Natalija Todorović Stanković, expressing his satisfaction due to the successful outcome of the trial that she initiated.
