THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR AND PRINCESS KATARINA IN THE VISIT OF MIONICA MUNICIPALITY

 

Upon the invitation of the president of the municipality of Mionica Mr. Miroslav Trifunović, who was also the host of the event, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar and Crown Princess Katarina today visited the municipality of Mionica. Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied by a member of the Crown Council Prof. Dr. Milorad Pavić.

Upon arrival in Mionica, Crown Prince Aleksandar and his wife  were welcomed by the municipal and religious officials and numerous citizens in front of the church of Sacred God's of Ascension.

Following the welcoming speeches of Mr. Trifunović and of the religious head of Valjevo church the priest Mr. Ljuba Adžić, the Crown Prince Aleksandar and Prof. Dr. Milorad Pavić addressed the present.

While some of the citizens present chanted "Long live the King", Crown Prince Aleksandar laid flowers on the monument of Duke Živojin Mišić. After that, His Royal Highness, together with the city officials and representatives of several political parties, discussed the current political and social issues. Among them there was Mr. Milan Paroški, one of the DOS leaders as well as the representatives of the National Radical party from the Republic Srpska.

Following the visit of museum house of Duke Živojin Mišić in Struganik, Crown Prince Aleksandar and Crown Princess Katarina visited the church on Ravna Gora and laid flowers on the monument of general Draža Mihajlović. On that occasion His Royal Highness addresses the present once more by inviting all Serbs to reconcille and unite themselves.

During the lunch prepared for numerous guests, citizens of Mionica area spoke with His Royal Highness and his wife in a very pleasent atmosphere.

Their Royal Highnesses also visited the clinic in Mionica where Crown Princess Katarina donated aid in clothes, shoes and toiletries. Their Royal Highnesses used the opportunity to talk about possibility of motivating the Serbian diaspora to help this impoverished area. They expressed their readiness to be the mediators in this case.

Their Royal Highnesses finished their tour by visiting the refugess camp "Bogovađa" inhabiteded by 70 refugees from Bosnia and Croatia. The humanitarian aid in clothes, shoes, food and toiletries was also distributed in the camp.
