HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER II STATEMENT REGARDING PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS ON 21 JANUARY 2007

Belgrade, 18 January 2007 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II issued a statement today regarding parliamentary elections in Serbia on 21 January 2007.

Dear citizens, Serbia is facing new elections, new decisions and а chance for a new future. It is solemnly upon you to decide. The more of you that take part in the election process, the greater the legitimacy of the election results. These are the basics of democratic principle and a democratic system.

There is a lot of work to be done for Serbia until it becomes a country that we all wish it to be – stable, developed, and respected with modern conceptions looking towards the future, while esteeming its history and tradition.

The quickest path to the Serbia that all of us wish to reach, is the path on which the largest number of citizens take an active role in its shaping. We have a chance, let us crown democracy!
