THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTENDED THE CEREMONIAL ACADEMY THE
INTERNATIONAL REMEMBRANCE DAY OF THE HOLOCAUST
Belgrade, 27 January 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the Ceremonial
Academy on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day at the
Army Club in Belgrade.
The Ceremonial Academy was organized by the Association of
Jewish Municipalities of Serbia in cooperation with the Serbian Government.
The ceremony began by lighting six candles symbolizing six
million Jews killed during The Second World War.
Mr. Aca Singer, President of The Association of Jewish
Municipalities as well as Mr. Zoran Stojkovic, Minister of Justice of Serbia, HE
Yaffa Ben-Ari, the Israeli Ambassador and one of the survivals from a
concentration camp, Mr. Cadik Danon addressed the attendees reminding them of
the victims of the Holocaust, stressing that the Holocaust of Jews is a terrible
part of history and that humankind should never allow it to be repeated.
