THE ROYAL COUPLE RECEIVED THE RUSSIAN FOLKLORE GROUP “KUBAN
COSSACKS”
Belgrade 14 February 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine accompanied by HE Alexander
Alexeev, Russian Ambassador in Belgrade and Mr. Horst Tiefenthaler, great friend
of The Royal Family, attended a folklore dance concert of the Kuban Cossacks
ensemble at the Russian Centre in Belgrade last night.
Marvelled by the performance of the junior assemble, They
Royal Highnesses invited the dancers and their teachers to visit The Royal
Complex.
The Royal Couple welcomed the dancers and introduced them to
the history of the Royal Palace and Royal Family, pointing out that it is of
great importance to establish the future cooperation between Serbian and Russian
people, to the benefit of friendship and exchange of cultural heritage between
our nations.
Expressing gratitude for the warmly welcomed the children
performed several dances and songs including Tamo daleko, Serbian traditional
song. |
