RECEPTION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE 39TH GRANDMASTER WOMEN’S
CHESS TOURNAMENT AT THE ROYAL PALACE
Belgrade, 8 March 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine received today at The Royal Palace
participants of the 39th International
Women’s Day Grandmaster Women’s Chess Tournament.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander and HRH Crown Princess Katherine
received the participants in the Blue Salon of The Royal Palace, and on that
occasion HRH Crown Prince Alexander welcomed the guests and emphasized how good
it is that on this day, International Women’s Day, such an important woman’s
tournament is taking place.
In the name of the delegation of the Belgrade Chess
Association, the organiser of this tournament, Mr. Radomir Stojkovic, President
of the Belgrade Chess Association and Mr. Miodrag Vukcevic, Director of the
National Chess Team gave TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine presents. After this, Crown Prince Alexander played a game of chess
with Mr. Svetozar Vlahovic, and Crown Princess Katherine played with Ms. Gordana
Mitrovic.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, HRH Crown
Prince Alexander gave all the women roses and wished them a happy holiday.
After the reception, the participants had the opportunity to
tour The Royal Complex, and be introduced with history of The Palaces and The
Royal Family Karadjordjevic. |
