THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES VISIT KRAGUJEVAC AND KRALJEVO
TO DELIVER HUMANITARIAN AID
Belgrade, 20 March 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine delivered today humanitarian aid to
Kragujevac and Kraljevo.
Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine
visited the Children Hospital in Kragujevac, and delivered an ambulance which
has been obtained by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, thanks to
cooperation and support of Lifeline Greece and the humanitarian project Neonatal
Intensive Care Unites (NICU) initiated by Princess Katherine in 2006.
After the warm welcome by Prof. Pavlovic, General Manager and
Prof. Jasmina Knezevic, Director of the Children Hospital and in the presence of
Mrs. Slavica Saveljic, representative of the City Assembly and expert for social
affairs and Mr. Sladjan Radovanovic, expert for Regional cooperation, Princess
Katherine addressed everyone: “I’m very happy my husband Crown Prince Alexander
and I are here today to deliver the promised donation. This vehicle is a result
of the two years hard work on NICU project. We are planning to provide necessary
equipment for delivery Departments in Serbia during our recently started project
Safe delivery”
Following the visit to Kragujevac Their Royal Highnesses
visited Institution for mentally disabled persons Male pcelice and where they
delivered two washing machines, bed linen and pillows.
After the Kragujevac Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown
Princess Katherine visited the Health centre Studenica in Kraljevo and
distributed two delivery tables, first donation as a part of the Safe delivery
project.
“This is the first delivery and part of the Safe delivery
project. Our intention is to distribute these tables to ten more institutions
within the next few months” – emphasized Crown Princess Katherine in her speech
in the presence of Dr. Babic, President of the Municipality, Prof. Dr. Arsic,
General Manager of the Health Centre Studenica and Dr. Veselinovic, Director of
the Hospital. |
