THE ROYAL COUPLE VISITS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KING PETER II KARADJORDJEVIC

Belgrade, 21 March 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine visited today Elementary School King Peter II Karadjordjevic on the occasion of the celebration of the School Day.

At the beginning of the ceremony the school choir performed the National Anthem Boze Pravde. Following the celebration Mr. Petar Polimac, the School Principal welcomed Their Royal Highnesses and all present pointing out the importance of this day for our history.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II emphasized:” I am very happy that my wife Crown Princess Katherine and I are here with you at the school that carries the name of my father King Peter II. I am sure that he would be very proud of the way that this school appears today. I wish you all the best during your school days, because this is the period of your life when you are preparing for the future”.

The program was continued in the school lobby where all present enjoyed the exhibitions Spring and Self-portrait and the exhibition of cups and medals prepared by the pupils.

Following the ceremony Mr. Pedja Stojanovic, Academic painter presented the painting Karadjordje on Vracar hill, while Mr. Jovan Isakov presented his origami exhibition.
