THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTEND SUPERBRAND AWARD CEREMONY
Belgrade, 16 April 2007 – Their
Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine
accompanied by Mr. David Andrews, son of HRH Crown Princess Katherine and his
wife Angeliki Margariti and by Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of HRH Crown
Princess Katherine attended the
Superbrand award Ceremony organized by Tsomoks
Group International (TGI), held at the Sava Centre.
Before the official award
ceremony, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine hosted a small reception at The Royal Palace for the participants of
the Superbrand of Serbia in order to show them hospitality and gratitude for
taking interest in the Serbian economy.
After visiting The Royal
Complex, all participants went to the award ceremony held at the Sava Centre.
Opening remarks were presented
by Mr. Symeon Tsomokos, Director of TGI, Mr. Bill Colgrave, Director of
Superbrands International and Mr. Srdjan Saper, Managing Director of McCann
Ericson Group.
Following the ceremony, HRH
Crown Prince Alexander II had the pleasure to deliver the award to the Institute
for Blood Transfusion in the category of the Public Services, while Mrs. Alison
Andrews delivered award to the company Duracell in the category of energetics.
The award of the best domestic
Superbrand went to EXIT FEST and the prize was delivered by Mr. Bill Colgrave,
while Mercedes Benz won the award for the best International Superbrand which
was delivered by Mr. Saper.
The Superbrands is the
independent authority on branding with the aim to promote the discipline of
branding and pays tribute to exceptional brands. The Superbrands procedure in
Serbia was conducted in two phases. During the first phase, an independent
voluntary Council of 15 members, consisting of leading experts from the world of
marketing, media, business and finance, voted on over 2800 brands (products or
services) divided into 34 categories.

Economist Magazine, Mrs. Vesna Mandic, Owner of Fabrika, Dr. Slobodan
Milosavljevic, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Spyros
Pyrgidis, Country Manager of Delyug, Mr. Aleksandar Radosavljevic, Commercial
Director of Carlsberg Serbia, Mrs. Milica Rakovic, Director of Salford Capital
Partners Inc. and Deputy CEO for DFC Group, Mr. Dragan Sakan, President of the
New Moment – New Ideas Company, Mr. Milan Slavinski, Marketing Director of Grand
Prom and Mr. Stefanos Vafidis, General Manager of Coca Cola HBC Serbia, at the
event were also present HE Dr. Zoran Stankovic, Minister of Defense, Mr. Bozidar
Dejlic, former Minister of Finance, Mr. Aleksandar Vlahovic, former Minister of
Economy and many other business and government representatives as well as
