DINNER IN HONOUR OF SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH BISHOPS AT THE WHITE PALACE

Belgrade, 21 May 2007 - HRH Crown Prince Alexander II hosted a dinner at The White Palace for The Bishops of Serbia, on the occasion of the annual session of the Holy Assembly of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander II welcomed the guests and emphasized:

“We are hoping that God will bless our gathering. We are all aware that we are facing big problems and challenges, and that it is necessary to understand and accept our part of the responsibility, as an individual and as a nation. I am always talking about Democracy, because it gathered benefit for all as well as the responsibilities for the decisions and acts we make. However, I do not separate all promises of Democracy with the promises of the Monarchy, neither bring them into the conflict, because they are under the act of God “

The reception was attended 37 Bishops of Serbia and Montenegro and the Serbian Diaspora, HE Mr. Radomir Naumov, Minister of Religion, Prof. Dr. Vojislav Milovanovic, former Minister of Religion and Arch-builder of Saint Sava Church in Vracar, as well as the members of the Advisory Bodies of The Crown.
