ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS “KING ALEXANDER I” ORGANIZES FIRST
EVENT
Pozarevac, 22 May 2007 – The Association of Schools “King
Alexander I”, which includes five primary schools in Serbia bearing the name of
this King of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty, had its first event today – the Royal
Quiz.
Crown Prince Alexander had extended his congratulations to
the organizers and especially pupils who took part in this event.
“Knowledge is of special importance for our younger
generations. History teaches us about our past and gives us a direction to our
future. My grandfather, King Alexander I, would have been very proud to be with
you today. Even though this is a competition, I want you to know that you are
all winners”, emphasized Crown Prince Alexander in his letter of support.
The children displayed excellent knowledge on the quiz and
had a lot of fun. They also performed a wonderful cultural program, which also
included singing the winning song of the Eurovision 2007 song contest “Molitva”.
Crown Prince Alexander has congratulated all competitors by
presenting them with a copy of the book “King Petar II”, written by Branislav
Gligorijevic. |
