CROWN PRINCE ATTENDS 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE “CIRILO I METODIJE“ SCHOOL

Belgrade, 24 May 2007 – Crown Prince Alexander II attended today the marking of the 80th Anniversary of the “Ćirilo i Metodije“ secondary school, and received an award.

The award was given to the Crown Prince by the headmaster of the school, Mrs. Manuela Ilic. HRH Crown Prince Alexander warmly thanked for the award, also extending his congratulations on this great jubilee, with the desire that many more jubilees be celebrated in the future.

The Crown Prince said, among other things:

“The fact that you have such a tradition should serve as an example to the rest of us, because you have led many young generations onto the right path. That is also a big obligation, because you always have to reach towards new challenges and knowledge, and take care not to discredit our ancestors and history, which must be given adequate attention and the respect they need“.

HE Mr. Bozidar Djelic, Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of European Integration, Mrs. Manuela Ilic, School Principle and Mr. Matija Beckovic, member of the Crown Council also attended the event.
