T.R.H. CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR AND PRINCESS KATARINA

IN THE VISIT TO ST.SAVA CHURCH  IN VRAČAR

 

Upon the invitation of Serbian Minister of Religious Affairs, Mr. Vojislav Milovanović, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar and Crown Princess Katarina visited today St. Sava Church in Belgrade Municipality Vračar. Besides Minister Milovanović, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by His Grace Bishop Atanasius, Serbian Minister of Construction, Mr. Dragomir Šumarac, director of “KMG Trudbenik” construction company, Mr. Smiljanić, and the architects and chief builders.

Mr. Milovanović, Mr. Šumarac and His Grace Bishop Atanasius once again expressed their gratitude for the 400.000 DEM donation that the Crown Prince and his wife had sent earlier for the construction of the Church.

Crown Prince Aleksandar and Princess Katarina viewed the current construction works with great interest and expressed their pleasure with its progress. Addressing those present, the Crown Prince welcomed the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to help directly with the construction of the church and the foundation of a consortium that will participate in the construction.

After the Church visit, further construction plans were discussed in the Project Bureau. On that occasion, Crown Prince Aleksandar and Princess Katarina expressed their wish to help motivate the Diaspora to participate with donations more actively.

Crown Prince Aleksandar and his wife were accompanied by the Member of the Crown Council, Mr. Dragomir Acović.
