CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER CONGRATULATES BASKETBALL PLAYERS AND KAYAKERS

Belgrade, 13 August 2007 - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II congratulated tonight the male junior basketball team of Serbia for becoming the new European champions.

In his letter of congratulations, the Crown Prince stated: "I would like to extend my family's sincere congratulations for becoming the new European champion. The final game with Greece was nerve wrecking, especially in the end. It is astonishing that this is the 8th medal of Serbian young male and female basketball players in the past two months. Our basketball definitely has a shining future and I hope the seniors will do a job as good as this one. My family and I are very delighted and proud".

Crown Prince Alexander II also congratulated the Serbian kayak team who brought home 3 medals (1 silver and 2 bronze) from the World Championship.

"Please receive my heartfelt congratulations for bringing joy to Serbia with three more medals, and my best wishes for the future", emphasized the Crown Prince in his letter.
