TRAGEDY IN GREECE

Belgrade, 28 August 2007 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine are deeply shocked with the atrocious fire that continues to burn all over Greece, with terrifying consequences and the great loss of life, the hundreds of people who have become homeless and the huge environmental disaster.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine along with the Greek people as well as the international community were horrified with the threat to Ancient Olympia a most important international symbol of civilization, democracy, unity, solidarity of Ancient Greece that inspires and continues to inspire civilization. Their Royal Highnesses said the protection and the preservation of Ancient Olympia is the sacred duty of the whole world.

Their Royal Highnesses in cooperation with Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization under the patronage of HRH Princess Katherine will organize an event in Athens on Monday 24 September 2007 were all proceeds will be donated to help as a proof of gratitude to brotherly the Greek people for their important and continuous help to Serbia for many years.

Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine wish and hope that together with the Greek people and the international community we will manage to heal soon the deep wounds of this national tragedy.
