RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY

Belgrade, 7 September 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II, Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Philip hosted last night a reception for the successful and proven members of our business community as well as those whose time is yet to come.

The reception was dubbed LET’S IDENTIFY LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE.

Apart from representatives of the state, also present were bankers, brokers, CEOs, directors and other esteemed individuals – representatives of domestic and foreign companies that are doing business in Serbia. These people are today’s or tomorrow’s agents of change, who will move the economy of our country forward, which is of vital importance for a better standard of living and thus a brighter future for all our citizens.

This symbolic gathering was initiated by Their Royal Highnesses to say thanks to those people and give them an opportunity to establish new business contacts.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II wished everyone welcome and addressed the present. Among other things, the Crown Prince emphasized: “Our country, our people, need individuals of vision, of ideas, of knowledge, and above all of action, those who initiate changes, open new roads, expand horizons, and conquer the future. My wife and I are trying very hard, by our actions, by our activities to encourage the turning towards international integrations, and to enhance the conscience that the road to progress means opening up to positive initiatives, the strengthening of the economic potentials of the country, market stimulation, and new development projects. The goal is to create new jobs, a greater employment, and larger potential for investing and creating capital”.

The Crown Prince also thanked everyone present in the name of the young Prince Philip, by saying: “Tonight, Prince Philip is also with us, who expresses his warm greetings and who – I am sure – belongs to this great gathering of the creators of the future”.
