Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine opened again this year once
again the Palaces to visitors, during the Days of European Heritage
manifestation, from 15 to 23 September. In addition the visiting season has been
extended to 25 November.
Every September since 1984, in the Council of Europe member
countries, a event takes place known as Days of European Heritage, founded by
the Council of Europe and realized with the support of the European Commission.
The goal of the event is the mutual coming closer of the peoples of the Old
Continent and a better understanding of one’s own natural and cultural heritage.
Interested visitors should first sign up, while the tours are
free of charge. All additional information can be obtained on the website of the
Belgrade City Hall - www.beograd.org.yu
or at the Sector for Tourism and Trade of the Secretariat of the Economy, phone

The Office of Crown Prince Alexander would also like to
inform the public that regular tours of the Palaces on weekends during the
tourist season have been extended until 25 November, and calls on everyone who
is interested and has not yet seen the beauty of the Royal and White Palaces to
use this opportunity and sign up on time. Additional information can be obtained
from the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, please contact Mrs Andjelka Vukovic
at +381 11 33 43 460 and via email -
Dvorski_kompleks@yahoo.com.
Touring the Palaces has been made possible thanks to Belgrade
City Hall and the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, but primarily thanks to the
wish of Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine to open this
institution of national, historic, architectural and cultural importance - not
so long ago known as The Forbidden City – and to make it closer to the citizens
and visitors of Serbia. |
