THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES RECEIVED 18 POST-GRADUATE STUDENTS
WHO WILL LEAVE FOR NOTTINGHAM UNIVERSITY
Belgrade, 16th of September – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine in the presence of Princess
Margaret of Baden hosted tonight 18 top post graduate students who will be
travelling to Nottingham University in Great Britain on 18th of September, as a
part of the Scholarship Programme of the Foundation of Crown Prince Alexander
for Culture and Education.
Their Royal Highnesses spoke to the students and expressed
their pleasure that the project is continuing and that more talented young men
and women are going to acquire new knowledge and experiences.
“My wife and I are delighted to have you as our guests at the
Palace. Investing in knowledge means investing in the future, and this is what
you are – a generation of the future. We would like you to use the opportunity
that has been given to you, to expand your horizons and to come back and invest
your knowledge in the country in which you were born and which formed you into
such fine young men and women that you have become. We hope you will study hard,
but also make new friends from all over the world, and share with them positive
insights about our country. You are our ambassadors and we have faith that you
will make us all proud”, emphasized the Crown Prince.
The Foundation of Crown Prince Alexander for Culture and
Education, in cooperation with the University of Nottingham, the Universities of
Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and Kragujevac, and the Fund for Young Talents of the
Government of Serbia, enabled the continuation of this successful project that
was started last year and consists of connecting Serbian students to reputable
British Universities and to the world.
Nottingham University will cover full tuition fees for the
academic year 2007/08, in the fields of education, law, business, economics, and
computer sciences and the Fund for Young Talents of the Government of Serbia
will cover the students’ living expenses.
The total value of the project for all the 18 post graduate students is 400,
000 euros. |
