HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS AT THE OPENING OF THE NEW DONCAFÉ FACTORY IN SIMANOVCI

Belgrade, Wednesday, 19 September 2007 – His Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II attended tonight a grand opening of the new Doncafé factory in Simanovci.

The new coffee factory is the most modern in this part of Europe and was an investment worth more than 10 million euros. The factory can process 18,000 tons of coffee annually, and in the following phases it will be upgraded to process as many as 30,000 tons annualy. The new factory also has a coffee museum and a projection room, where visitors can find out all the details about coffee growing and processing, all the types of coffee, and many other interesting details about the most popular drink among Serbs. Visitors will also be able to try different Doncafé products. An innovation is that visitors will actually be able to see the entire production process.

The factory was opened by HE Mr. Boris Tadic, the President of Serbia with the Crown Prince, followed by the speeches of the factory leadership. Mr. Arik Gilboa, General Manager of Doncafé and Mr. Miroslav Mickovic, SC Director of Doncafé, both spoke about the Doncafé vision, followed by Pieter Polhius, General Manager of Strauss Group, who spoke about Doncafé today. Mr. Erez, President & CEO of Strauss Group, spoke about progess, while Mr. Michael Strauss, Founder & Share-Holder of Strauss Group, spoke about life as a masterpiece. In the end, Mr. Arik Gilboa, General Manager of Doncafé and Mr. Milan Petrovic, new General Manager of Doncafé, spoke about inspiration.

The program was enriched with classical music, children performance and fireworks.

Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine are very happy that new factories are being opened, new jobs are being created and new export possibilities considered.
