CROWN PRINCE CONGRATULATES JOM KIPPUR TO THE JEWISH
COMMUNITY
Belgrade, 21 September 2007 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II extended his congratulations on the occasion of Jom Kippur, marked
on 22 September, to the Jewish community.
The Crown Prince had conveyed his letter of congratulations
to Mr David Albahari, President of the Union of Jewish Municipalities in Serbia,
H.E. Mr. Arthur Koll, the Ambassador of Israel to Serbia, Mr. Isaac Asiel, the
Great Rabi, Dr Raka Levi, President of the Jewish Municipality of Belgrade, Dr
Ana Frenkel, President of the Jewish Municipality of Novi Sad, Mr. Robert
Sabados, President of the Jewish Municipality of Subotica, and Mr. Jakov Danon,
President of the Jewish Municipality of Banja Luka.
„I extend to you and all members of the Jewish community
sincere congratulations on Jom Kippur, the holiday of reconciliation,
repentance, and forgiveness.
My wish for this great holiday that has been marked by the
Jewish people for a great number of years, to be spent in peace among yourselves
and together with your neighbours”, emphasized the Crown Prince in his
