THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES ATTEND GRAND OPENING OF
KNOWLEDGE CENTRE – US STEEL SERBIA

Belgrade, 22 September 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the grand opening of the Knowledge Centre, sponsored by US Steel Serbia.

Recently, US Steel Serbia gave 100,000 euros for the renovation of the Svetozar Markovic University Library in Belgrade. The building is now modern and new, but with the original look and atmosphere that existed in 1926 when it was built. US Steel Serbia has today opened the Knowledge Centre with a goal to help young people develop by learning more, and to fulfill the cultural and educational offer of the University Library in Belgrade, which is one of the largest scientific libraries in the region.

Crown Prince Alexander understands very much the importance of education for our young people and that is why he has founded his own Foundation for Culture and Education. He and Crown Princess Katherine strongly believe young people are our future, and education is a way forward to progress.
