THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES VISIT GREEK FIRE AREA WITH
HUMANITARIAN
HELP FROM SERBIA
Belgrade, 29 September 2007 - Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine continue their humanitarian
efforts to help the most vulnerable people in brotherly Greece after the ghastly
forest fires ravished the country in August of this year.
The Mayor of Andania Mr. George Diagoupis welcomed TRH in the
village square with all the people and children, at which time TRH delivered
humanitarian aid. Then, TRH visited the villages of Karnasi and Desilla that
were burned to the ground. Their Royal Highnesses were deeply moved with what
they saw, and especially when they received, among other gifts, the icon of
St.Panteleimonas, the protector of the area.
In the spirit of giving, His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine continued their noble efforts today,
when they visited the Messima region and the municipality of Andania to deliver
460 kilograms of clothes for children from Serbia as well as baby equipment to
the victims of the forest fires in Greece, in the total value of several
thousand Euros.
Their Royal Highnesses are grateful to the Serbian companies
who have stepped forward and provided these wonderful above donations of
children’s clothes for the victims of the fires. The companies who supported
this humanitarian effort are Ready Group d.o.o. from Niš, P.S. Fashion from
Čačak, Stig d.o.o. from Novi Pazar, St. George from Belgrade, Mala Moda Marija
from Belgrade, SZR Kika from Loznica, DINS from Stara Pazova, and Bambino from
Belgrade. |
