THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES HOSTED BALKAN ENVIRONMENTAL
ASSOCIATION
Belgrade, 15 November 2007. – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted tonight a reception at
The White Palace in honour of the Balkan Environmental Association BENA.
This reception successfully gathered regional specialists in
the area of environmental protection and many others interested in the
prevention of environmental degradation in our country and the region.
Crown Prince Alexander II welcomed members of BENA and stated
“Environmental protection is a very important issue today and we must all gain a
better understanding of this matter and help in the process of environmental
preservation. Organizations such as this one are pioneering the way; however we
must do our part and promote environmentally friendly ways so that we can have a
greener and healthier planet for the generations to come”.
The Balkan Environmental Association was established 19
November 1998 in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is a nongovernmental and non profit
organization aimed at developing cooperation and exchange of environmental
information among its member countries as well as addressing current issues and
promoting environmental protection on national and international level. |
