CELEBRATION SERVICE AT WESTMINSTER ABBEY FOR HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II AND
HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS THE DUKE OF EDINGBURGH

anniversary of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II and
His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh will attend a Service of
Celebration this morning at Westminster Abbey. See the following

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown
Princess Katherine were invited by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to attend this
magnificent service at Westminster Abbey this morning.
Crown Prince Alexander’s godmother is Queen Elizabeth II
(then Princess Elizabeth). The Crown Prince’s godfather was His Majesty King
George VI of Great Britain the father of Queen Elizabeth II and the Crown Prince
was baptized by His Holiness Patriarch Gavrilo of Serbia at Westminster Abbey in
the presence of several monarchs.
King George VI was also King Peter II of Yugoslavia’s (Crown
Prince Alexander’s father) godfather and Queen Elizabeth later the Queen Mother
was King Peter II godmother.
Their Majesties King Peter II and Queen Alexandra of
Yugoslavia (the parents of Crown Prince Alexander) were guests at the Royal
wedding of Princess Elizabeth (later queen Elizabeth II) and HRH Prince Philip
of Greece and Denmark (later the Duke of Edinburgh) that took place 20 November
1947 at Westminster Abbey. King Peter and Queen Alexander were also guests in
1953 at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II that also took place at Westminster
Abbey. |
