LIFELINE HUMANITARIAN LUNCH IN ATHENS IN THE PRESENCE OF THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES IN AID OF THE MODERNISATION OF DELIVERY ROOMS IN SERBIA

Athens, 3 December 2007 - Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization organized a humanitarian lunch A letter to Santa Claus at the Grande Bretagne Hotel, under the patronage of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine, with the purpose to modernize delivery rooms of the hospitals in Serbia.

This is the continuation of the SAFE DELIVERY project, undertaken by the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. This Lunch is an annual traditional event of Lifeline Hellas, organized for the fourth year in a row, and included support from several Greek companies. The main sponsor was the ALAPIS company.

Each company was responsible for decorating its own table creating a beautiful effect. The luncheon attendees were welcomed by Mr. John Trikardos, the President of the Board of Directors of Lifeline Hellas, HRH Crown Prince Alexander and HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

The children from the ballet department and the choir from Polka Froelen Educational Group performed. A special film was shown depicting the highlights of the humanitarian work of HRH Crown Princess Katherine that was released from ERT WORLD by Greek journalist Irene Nikolopoulou. Mrs. Nikolopoulou delivered a short speech prior to the projection about her experience in Belgrade.

Among the attendees at the Humanitarian Lunch were also: Ambassador Μrs Ljiljana Bacevic of Serbia to Greece, Mr. Panos Panayiotopoulos, member of the Greek Parliament, Mrs. Alexandra Evert-Alvertis, Vice-Mayor of Athens, Mrs. Nina Vlahou, Vice-Mayor of Kifissia, Mrs Liza Evert and many other individuals.
