HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE OPENED TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS HANDICRAFT HUMANITARIAN BAZAAR

Belgrade, 14 December 2007 – The Christmas Handicraft Humanitarian Bazaar, traditionally organised by HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation, was opened today at the Progress gallery.

The Humanitarian Bazaar, whose aim is to help women who are refugees or internally displaced person, was opened by HRH Crown Princess Katherine and Mr. Dragisa Dabetic, the Serbian Commissioner for Refugees, to once again support those who need help.

During the opening of the Bazaar, Crown Princess Katherine emphasised: “Wives and mothers who have been forced to leave their homes, create with their own hands the objects which reflect the spirit of our people. These works best represent the region these brave women come from, and at the same time preserve the unique techniques from oblivion. What is a small amount to us is a big amount for them”.

The Crown Princess invited everyone to come, visit the Bazaar, buy some nice handicrafts and in that way help these women. The Bazaar will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will last until Sunday, 16 December 2007.
