THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES HOST PARTICIPANTS OF FOURTH INTERNATIONAL SUMMIT OF INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGISTS

Belgrade, 16 April 2008 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted this evening at the Royal Palace the participants of the Fourth International Summit of Interventional Cardiologists.

This very important gathering of experts and scientists is held under the patronage of Their Royal Highnesses. The importance of this event is even greater if one knows that the death percentage of cardiovascular disease in Serbia is extremely high and that we need the latest knowledge to reduce the effects of this disease.

The Summit, which is held in Belgrade until 19th April, is attended by a large number of domestic and international experts. Many of them attended the reception organised in their honour at the Royal Palace. Among the guests were also Professor Dr. Miodrag Ostojic, President of The Serbian Heart Foundation, as well as Mrs. Gordana Matkovic and Mr. Goran Pitic - former Ministers in the Government of Dr. Zoran Djindjic.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine is an honorary board member of The Serbian Heart Foundation, one of the organizers of the Summit. On behalf of this Foundation, the Crown Princess awarded the foreign lecturers of the Summit.

After the reception, the guests enjoyed a tour of the Palaces.
