THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES AT ASCENSION DAY LITURGY AND PROCESSION

Belgrade, 5 June 2008 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the Holy Liturgy and Procession on the occasion of Ascension Day, Patron Saint Day of Belgrade.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the Holy Liturgy at the Ascension Church in Admirala Geprata Street and then, together with the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and officials of the City of Belgrade, among whom were Mr. Zoran Alimpic, Acting Mayor of Belgrade, Mrs. Radmila Hrustanovic, Assistant to the Acting Mayor of Belgrade, other city officials and numerous citizens, attended the Procession in the streets of Belgrade.

The Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop of Hvosno Atanasije in the presence of His Grace Bishop of Australia and New Zealand Irinej, His Grace Bishop of Eastern America Mitrofan and clergy, while the Procession was attended by thousands of citizens.

In the evening, Their Royal Highnesses will attend the traditional reception at the Belgrade City Hall, hosted by Mr. Zoran Alimpic, Acting Mayor of Belgrade.
