THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES HOST PARTICIPANTS OF CITY BREAK
CONFERENCE
Belgrade, 10 June 2008 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown
Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, together with Mrs. Olivera
Lazovic, Director of the
Tourist Organisation of Belgrade, hosted
last night at the terraces of the Royal Palace, a dinner for participants of
the
City Break Conference, the European Cities
Business to Business Travel Event, which is taking place in Belgrade from
9th to 13th June. This event was held twice before, in Helsinki and Athens.
After the guests were greeted by girls wearing
traditional folklore costumes and were offered the traditional welcome of
bread and salt, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown
Princess Katherine , together with Mrs. Olivera Lazovic, Director of the
Tourist Organisation of Belgrade greeted the guests in the Blue Salon of the
Royal Palace. Speeches were delivered by HRH Crown Prince Alexander, Mr.
Zoran Alimpic, Acting Mayor of Belgrade, Mr. Mark Walsh, Exhibition Director
of City Break, and Mrs. Olivera Lazovic, Director of the Tourist
Organisation of Belgrade.
- I am glad that we have the opportunity to host you at
the Royal Palace. We hope you will find the time to explore the wonderful
tourist potentials of Belgrade, an ancient city that stands on the
confluence of two rivers – the Sava and the Danube. You will discover
hospitality, wonderful greenery, a unique blend of various styles of
architecture, great nightlife, food, and atmosphere. I hope you will enjoy
yourselves tonight and that you will take with you pleasant memories from
our country that you will share with your business associates and friends –
emphasized the Crown Prince.
During dinner, guests had the opportunity to enjoy the
performances of Vasil Hadzimanov, Bisera Veletanlic, Vracar Dance Club and
the Gradimir Cultural Ensemble, and in the end of the programme, fireworks. |
