THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESSES GUESTS AT ROYAL COUPLE’S WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IN ROMANIA

Belgrade, 12 June 2008 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine are in Romania as guests of the Romanian Royal Family, to mark a Royal Wedding Anniversary.

Romania's King Michael and Queen Ana celebrated on 10th June sixty years of marriage. This unique event was marked by a series of events at the Elisabeta Palace, at the Romanian Athenee, the Palace Hilton Hotel in Bucharest, and the Peles Castle in Sinaia. The celebration took place with the Romanian Royal Family, members of European Royal Houses and friends from Romania and abroad.

On this occasion, the Romanian Royal Familly organised two public events. On Tuesday, 10th June, at Ateneul Roman in downtown Bucharest, an extraordinary concert was held, followed by a cocktail. Another event takes place today, on 12th June at the National Museum of History when the volume The Diamond Wedding will be launched, written by Her Royal Highness Princess Margareta and His Royal Highness Prince Radu.

Another three private events were also organised and attended by representatives of the European Royal houses. Apart from Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, also present were Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain, Their Majesties King Simeon II and Queen Margaret of Bulgaria, Their Majesties King Constantin II and Queen Ana Maria of Greece and others.
