CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER CONGRATULATES NEW SPEAKER OF SERBIAN PARLIAMENT

Belgrade, 26 June 2008 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II extended his congratulations to Mrs. Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, the newly elected Speaker of the Serbian Parliament.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on being elected as Speaker of the National Parliament of the Republic of Serbia. I wish you all the very best in your important position and that the House that you represent will serve as an example of full democratic dialogue. I am certain that all members of Parliament will put the best interests of all the citizens of Serbia first regardless of religion and ethnic origin. Furthermore Serbia cannot afford to fall behind the rest of Europe and the region anymore.

With the united effort of all participants in parliamentary life, it will be possible to resolve all problems that Serbia is faced with, and overcome the individual interests of political parties.
