CROWN PRINCE ALEXANDER AT THE 39TH FINA OPEN WATER
SWIMMING GRAND PRIX IN SABAC
Belgrade, 13 July 2008 – His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Alexander II, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac and
Valjevo and Prof. Dr. Miroslav Gasic, member of the Crown Council, attended
today the prize ceremony of the 39th FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix in
Sabac.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II is the
patron of the 39th FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix which is the fifth
relay in the 2008 World Championship.
In his speech Crown Prince Alexander emphasized the
importance of international competitions which promote sports people
worldwide. “Today we saw the best representatives of 20 countries. I wish
them good luck for the future” – concluded the Crown Prince and then he
delivered medals and trophies to Brendan Capell from Australia, the winner
of relay, Stephane Gomez from France for winning the second place and Daniil
Serebrennikov from Russia for winning third palace.
The 39th FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix gathered
representatives of the municipalities Sabac and Sremska Mitrovica, Swimming
Organization of Serbia, delegates of FINA and many others. |
