CHRISTENING OF HRH CROWN PRINCESS KATHERINE GRANDSON OFFICIATED BY HIS BEATITUDE HIERONYMOS II

Athens, 10 November 2008 – The Christening of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine grandson was officiated by His Beatitude Hieronymos II Archbishop of Athens and All Greece and Primate of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece. The Christening was held today at St. Dionysious the Areopagite Church in Athens.

The grandson of HRH Crown Princess Katherine, son of David Andrews and Angeliki Margariti-Andrews was Christened Alexander George Michael. The Godparents were Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos Minister of the Interior of Greece and Mrs. Pavlopoulos, Ms. Angeliki Frangou and Ms. Olga Lymperi.

Members of the family and friends of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine and families Andrews and Margariti were present. Over 1000 distinguished guests from the political, business and social life of Greece as well as from abroad attended the event.

David and Angeliki Andrews feeling so fortunate to have little Alexander asked their guests to make a donation instead of gifts to Lifeline Hellas Humanitarian Organization.

Following the ceremony a reception took place at the Grande Bretagne Hotel in Athens.
