WHITE PALACE RECEPTION IN HONOUR OF ROYAL WARRANTS

Belgrade, 10 December 2008 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine together with Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of Princess Katherine hosted this evening a reception at the White Palace in honour of the Royal Warrants. Mrs. Ann Speckhard, the wife of the United States ambassador to Greece who is a guest of Their Royal Highnesses was present.

The title of Royal Purveyor is awarded to companies who with their products or services support the Royal Compound and activities of Crown Prince Alexander II Foundation for Education and Crown Princess Katherine Humanitarian Foundation. The title of Royal Purveyors exists as tradition in all European Constitutional Monarchies. In the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, it was used for the first time during the reign of King Alexander I.

As a part of the official ceremony at the reception, HRH Crown Prince Alexander delivered a speech in which he pointed out: “It is a great pleasure for me that we gathered here tonight in the White Palace all the people that are helping us over the year in our great endeavours and humanitarian activities. Your wonderful help is very important to us and this is a gesture of gratitude for all your support”.

After the speech the Crown Prince handed over a decree to 24 new companies awarded with the title of Royal Warrants among them were: Aeckoop ltd, Amigo Trade Ltd, Butchery Avramović, Canimpex, Coin Ltd., Diplon Ltd, DPM Computers, Gmt company, Kim Tec, Lazar Plus, Matmarex, Moguy Trade, Pakom Ltd., Pavas, Permop ltd., Pogled Sir Produkt, Puratos, Skvadra, Society Srpska rakija, Ibis, Mopex , Exmirage, Jupiter hygiene and Stefani Lux.

After the award ceremony guests had the pleasure to enjoy a performance of Cultural Society LOLA.
