CROWN PRINCE CONGRATULATES DESIGNATED PATRIARCH OF
Belgrade, 29 January 2009 - His Royal Highness Crown
Prince Alexander II extended his congratulations to His Beatitude Kiril,
Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the newly designated Patriarch of the
Russian Orthodox Church.
In his letter of congratulations the Crown Prince
emphasized:" We are positive that your Holy duty will bring progress for the
Russian Orthodox Church, its believers and the entire Christian community.
We wish you, your Holiness, that under your guidance the
Russian Church will continue on the path of hope, love and faith, fortified
through the Word of God".
The Crown Prince, who was a great friend of His Beatitude
Patriarch Alexei, also send congratulations to HE Mr. Dmitri Medvedev,
President of the Russian Federation, HE Mr. Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister
of the Russian Federation, HE Mr. Alexander V. Konuzin, Ambassador of the
Russian Federation to Serbia, Archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church
Vitalij Tarasjev and Prof. Dr. Valery Arkadyevich Alexeev, President of the
International Foundation of the Unity of All Orthodox Christian Nations.
