A Croatian paper FabricationIn its column "What is the ex-Yu press publishing", the paper "Odgovor" of 17 July 1997 reprints a report from the Croatian paper "Imperijal" under the heading "Dalmatia-Cement bought by Alexander Karadjordjevic". This report by Maja Leskovar says that the Ready Mix Group International corporation, with its headquarters in London, is buying the Split cement firm "Dalmatia-Cement" and that HRH Crown Prince Alexander is one of the "major" shareholders of the corporation. "Imperijal" then continues:"Is that a matter of business interest or of a campaign of conquest on Croatian territory by the Serbian dynasty in exile? The Serbs, it is quite certain, will never cease regretting the fact that the Croatian Adriatic has been lost to them forever. But it seems that the dirty designs of their conquering boots have now acquired a new camouflage. Economic penetration has now become a new model of conquest". In connection with the "Imperial" report, this Office is authorised to state that Maja Leskovarís story is pure fabrication. HRH Crown Prince Alexander has never been a Ready Mix shareholder and has no connection with that corporation. We wonder why the Croatian paper thought it necessary to publish this obvious lie?
