ROYAL COUPLE AT FEDERATION TENNIS CUP IN BELGRADE ARENA

Belgrade, 8 February 2009 – Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine attended today the Federation Cup, the greatest competition in women’s tennis, held at the Belgrade Arena.

The Serbian tennis Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic players’ victor on the first day of the Cup was followed by on the second day more than 15.000 viewers supporting the two of top tennis players of the world.

Earlier today, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine received the members of the Federation Cup delegation at the Royal Palace. The visit included by: Mr. Francesco Ritti Bitti, ITF President, Mr. Elchi Kawatei, Vice President of the Olympic Committee, Mrs. Barbara Travers, Mrs. Alessia Capel Davies and Mr. Mark Hogan.

The Crown Prince supports tennis very much and due to that he founded the Royal Tennis Club of Serbia with the aim to help talented children move forward in this sport. This club is led by Mrs. Jelena Gencic, the famous tennis coach.
